Heartfelt – Comedy – Uplifting
A guy who thinks he is doing “everything right” starts to question it all when he’s diagnosed with cancer and his chances of survival are 50/50.
I love a film that’s under 2 hours! It feels like most new releases are 2 hours plus! This film covers so much in a shorter amount of time without feeling like you’ve been spread through it.
Following Adam’s (Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s) journey as he faces the challenges of battling cancer, there are many highs and lows as you would expect. He has to confront issues that have been bubbling under the surface with his romantic relationship, friendships and family relationships. Adam is assigned Katherine (Anna Kendrick) as his counsellor to help him process his feelings as he goes down this difficult road of trying to beat cancer.
I have many moments of bubbling anger/frustration towards different characters in this story in the pit of my stomach. There are moments that fill me with sunshine. There are many laugh out loud moments to be had.
An very sweet film that will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions.
